Mary Kramer Will Keynote Economic Outlook Breakfast

DEARBORN, MI – Mary Kramer, publisher of Crain’s Detroit Business, will be the keynote speaker for the Wednesday, November 18, Economic Outlook Breakfast sponsored by Ford Land. Kramer will highlight ways that Michigan’s economy can be positively impacted with companies that are located right here.  Join the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce for important economic insight on Wednesday morning at 7:30AM.

Mary Kramer is the publisher of Crain’s Detroit Business, a publication that covers business news in the five-county metropolitan Detroit area. Circulation is 30,000, with an estimated readership that brings the total readership to nearly 140,000 each week. Mary was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is a graduate of Grand Valley State University.

She had 16 years of reporting and management experience at daily newspapers before joining Crain’s in 1989. In 1990, Mary was named associate publisher and became publisher in 2005, responsible for sales, circulation and editorial operations.

Active in a number of personal and professional organizations, Kramer is the former president of the Alliance of Area Business Publications. She is the first woman elected to the Detroit Athletic Club and holds honorary doctorates from Grand Valley, Alma College and Eastern Michigan University.

Her previous daily newspaper experience included editing positions at the Kalamazoo Gazette, Grand Rapids Press, Ann Arbor News, Greenwich Times and Buffalo Courier-Express.
