DEARBORN, MI - Civil War Reenactors from across the country are gathering at Greenfield Village  in Dearborn, Michigan this weekend to celebrate Memorial Day - and remember America's Civil War.  The special Civil War Remembrance will take place May 29-31. Dearborn Towers for Sale

DEARBORN, Mich. – The City of Dearborn has put its Florida apartment building for retirees up for sale.The City is seeking a buyer for the 8-story, 88-unit building in Clearwater, after meeting conditions set in 2007 when Dearborn voters gave their approval for the sale of the property. The City hopes revenue from the sale will help to soften financial challenges putting other more popular municipal services at risk. DEARBORN, Mich. – Marking its 86th year, Dearborn’s Memorial Day Parade is Michigan’s oldest continuous tribute to America’s fallen. The parade will start at 10:30 a.m. this year, a change from the past, to accommodate a special ceremonial funeral procession, called a “Heroes Mile,” beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 31. As always, the parade runs from Firestone, just west of Greenfield, to Schaefer eastbound along Michigan Avenue. We visited Mati's Deli for lunch on Thursday, May 20th as  part of Thousand Buck Thursday's in Dearborn. Mati's Deli is a local landmark (and one of Dearborn, Michigan's best kept secrets), at the tri-corner crossing of Tenny Street, May Street, and Monroe Street. Dearborn Mayor John O'Reilly was on hand to help with the ribbon cutting.
