Veterans honor Duvall teacher Miss Strez class for cheering up patients at Veterans Hospital. The former commander of the Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council, Leo Barrett, honored the Duvall Elementary School principal Glenn Maleyko and first grade teacher Joanne Strez and her class recently for traveling to the Veterans Hospital in Detroit and delivering 160 fruit baskets and 180 thank you cards to express their gratitude for the patients’ military service to the United States.
