Fall Into Dearborn – Pumpkin Carving and Antique Appraisal Clinic

DEARBORN, Mich. – The Dearborn Historical Museum will be hosting “Fall Into Dearborn” on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McFadden-Ross House, 915 Brady Street.  The day-long event has activities for the entire family and includes the popular Antiques Appraisal Clinic, held every year with Du Mouchelle Art Galleries. Super Sunflowers Spread a Little Sunshine

Dearborn,  MI - A contest was held recently to determine the most Super Sunflower in Dearborn. Mammoth Sunflower seeds were distributed at Snow Branch Library in May, then gardeners planted and tended their sunflowers all summer. Contestants brought their sunflowers to the library on Saturday, September 11, for measurement and display.  Contestant received a participation certificate and a prize. DEARBORN, MI - Green Brain Comics in Dearborn proudly unveiled a new group art exhibit in their HEADSPACE Gallery on Saturday, September 25th. The exhibit entitled "Visions of MODOK" features playful reinterpretations from thirteen local artists. They range from crazy, to even more crazy. Acts-17 Group Acquitted of Inciting Crowd

DEARBORN, Michigan - Friday afternoon at the 19th District Court, four Christian missionaries affiliated with the Acts 17 apologetics group where acquitted of inciting a crowd at the local Arab Festival. The jury found them not guilty of the charges of "breach of peace".  Nabeel Qureshi of Virginia, Negeen Mayel of California and Paul Rezkalla and David Wood, both of New York, were acquitted (found not guilty) of breach of peace, according to reports from 19th District Court officials after the verdict. Michigan Art Studio to Host 2nd Annual Glass Pumpkin Fest

The Glass Academy will host the 2nd annual Glass Pumpkin Fest on October 16th & 17th from 11am-4pm. This weekend festival will feature more than 500 hand-blown glass pumpkins of various colors, sizes, and shapes for sale.
