Lend a Hand to Dearborn’s Furry Friends

DEARBORN, Michigan - Late spring and summer bring excess homeless animals through the doors of the Dearborn Animal Shelter each year. In addition to the steady flow of stray and displaced animals, new litters of kittens and puppies add pressure to the Shelter’s resources. It is common right now for several litters to arrive each week, baby animals that require extra attention and time. DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI – Dearborn Heights Montessori Center (DHMC) honored 18 graduates of its middle school program during the school’s 22nd graduating class ceremonies. Several of the students attended DHMC for more than 10 years, beginning with the preschool program. Mayor O’Reilly had joined with Dearborn religious and community leaders last week in urging a calm response to the controversial figure. Middle School Students Donate to The Salvation Army

DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. – The Salvation Army of Dearborn Heights was overwhelmed by the generosity of students at Riverside Middle School in Dearborn Heights. Property owners are reminded to keep their grass cut so it is 6 inches or less, or they could face fines and fees.

DEARBORN, Michigan – Attractive neighborhoods are a hallmark of Dearborn, and residents do their part to keep them looking good by maintaining their property, including cutting their grass. Dearborn ordinances support attentive maintenance and require that property owners must cut their grass so it’s six inches or less. Property owners in violation of the ordinance are given a notice to address the problem within a specific timeframe.
