DEARBORN, Michigan – As Memorial Day approaches, the Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council (DAWVC) wants to ensure that the ultimate sacrifice made by the brave men and women of our armed forces in service to our country never gets put in the shadows. The DAWVC, along with the City of Dearborn, will pay tribute to these fallen servicemen during the 88th Annual Memorial Day Parade at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28 along Michigan Avenue in east Dearborn. Dearborn Police Halt Armed Robbery at 7-11 store

DEARBORN, Michigan - This morning at about 4:40am, Dearborn Police responded to a 7-11 on Greenfield near Hemlock on report of a hold-up in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject inside the store attempting to gain access to the cash drawer of the cash register. Officers waited until the suspect exited the store and arrested the 20 year-old female, a resident of Dearborn Heights, in the parking lot. As a fundraising effort for the American Cancer Society, the Relay for Life is an event in which teams from the community join together to walk 24 straight hours to support cancer research.
