DEARBORN, Michigan -The University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Center for Innovation Research – iLabs – today released its Innovation Index for the third quarter of 2010. DEARBORN, Michigan - Every February, the Rotary Club of Dearborn invites two students from each of the local high schools to attend and participate in Rotary Club meetings. The students have the opportunity to talk with Dearborn Rotarians and learn about their involvement in local, regional, and international relief efforts. DEARBORN, Michigan - The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the non-profit division of the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce brings Dearborn SOUP to Dearborn beginning March 6, 2011. SOUP is a monthly dinner that funds micro-grants for creative projects. DEARBORN, Michigan. - If you enjoy building with LEGOs, then the Dearborn Public Library has an event for you – the LEGO Design Challenge. Entries are welcome from children, teens and adults, as well families and groups. Projects must be built at home and then brought to the Children’s Desk at the Henry Ford Centennial Library during the registration period February 24 – 25. There is a limit of one entry per person. DEARBORN, Michigan – The idea for starting a publication dedicated to sharing the stories and achievements of students and staff in the local school district came to Dearborn resident Raad Alawan long before he published the first issue of “School Life,” a monthly newspaper that is distributed free to schools and businesses throughout Dearborn. Alawan, a graduate of Fordson High School, attended Central Michigan University where he earned a degree in journalism and broadcasting.
