AT&T U-Verse Adds Public Access Programming

DEARBORN, Michigan – AT&T U-verse has added the City of Dearborn’s government and public access channels to its services. City of Dearborn Television (CDTV) and Dearborn Public Access Television (DPATV) are now available on U-verse channel 99. Customers with AT&T services can click on the drop down box on channel 99 and can choose either of the Dearborn channels. U-verse customers also are able to choose from a number of cities on the network. This also allows customers in other cities to view Dearborn programs as well. Dearborn Door-to-Door Solicitation Rules Re-Clarified

DEARBORN, Michigan – Dearborn residents should be aware of important information regarding door-to-door solicitations. If an individual comes to your door and asks for a contribution to support a political, religious or charitable cause, the individual must have displayed on his person an ID card issued by the Dearborn Police Department. If an individual comes to your door to espouse his or her views regarding a political, religious or charitable cause but does not ask for a contribution, the individual does not have to have an ID or a permit issued by the City of Dearborn. … [Read more...]

DEARBORN, Mich. - The Dearborn Chamber of Commerce hosted its first annual Walk-About in late fall, 2011. The Business Walk-About was designed to pinpoint successes and struggles in the community, which then allows business and civic leaders to use that information to help make Dearborn a more business-friendly community.  Participants—who included civic leaders, Chamber members and staff -  visited 105 local businesses. LANSING, Michigan – State Representative George T. Darany said Wednesday that while the film incentive plan for 2012 is a good start, Michigan should do more to foster an industry that has proven to create jobs and put thousands of Michigan residents back to work. The Michigan Film Office said that they would stop accepting applications for 2012 film incentives until the Legislature provided guidelines on how the funds should be distributed. DEARBORN, Michigan - Comerica executive Amal Berry-Brown and her family braved the cold weather and spent last  Saturday afternoon volunteering as bell ringers for The Salvation Army outside of Fairlane Mall in Dearborn.
