Tuesday, June 7 at 5:30 p.m. is the date to adopt the budget and set the tax rate for Fiscal Year 12, which begins July 1, 2011. Vietnam Era Helicopter to Conduct Flyover

DEARBORN, Michigan – The 2011 theme of Dearborn’s Memorial Day Parade May 30 is the Vietnam War, and a powerful symbol of that conflict will play a prominent role when a Vietnam-era Huey flies over the parade route. The Huey was an icon of the Vietnam War. More than 7,000 of these aircraft were used by all branches of the military and are still readily recognized by sight and the unique “whop, whop, whop” sound of the helicopter blades. Longtime City Planner John Nagy Passes Away

DEARBORN, Michigan - City Planner John Nagy, who worked for Dearborn 61 years and had a hand in the design of every major development in the City since the 1950s, passed away on April 28. He was 84.
