DEARBORN, Mich. - The Dearborn Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market wrapped up its fourth successful season on the last Friday in October. Over 40 vendors participated in the market; 15 of them, like Binnell Bros knife sharpeners and Marsh Greenhouse Too, were new additions this year. Joan Reed, Market Manager, estimates approximately 17,000 people shopped at the market at some time during the 26 days the market was in session. DEARBORN, Michigan – The Dearborn Community Fund invites submissions to the Midwest Sculpture Initiative Visual Arts & Writing Contest. Entries must be submitted between January 2 and February 29, 2012. Three cash prizes will be awarded. Writing and artwork submitted in the contest must have been inspired by one of the 12 sculptures on exhibit throughout Dearborn in the 2011-12 Art In Public Places Project, part of the Midwest Sculpture Initiative (MSI).
