Event Commemorates 150th Anniversary of the Civil War

DEARBORN, MI – Artists from the Bellini Opera Theatre will present a lecture and concert commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War in the Henry Ford Centennial Library Auditorium on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The one-hour presentation will include performances by Kim Swan, soprano, and Dino Valle, baritone, accompanied by pianist Martin Mandelbaum. Featured will be songs written by Stephen Collins Foster, Daniel Decatur Emmett, Julia Ward Howe, James Allen Bland, Katharine Lee Bates and Samuel A. Ward. DEARBORN, MI - Civil War Reenactors from across the country are gathering at Greenfield Village  in Dearborn, Michigan this weekend to celebrate Memorial Day - and remember America's Civil War.  The special Civil War Remembrance will take place May 29-31.
