Dearborn Youth Symphony Season Finale May 15

DEARBORN, Mich. - The Dearborn Youth Symphony (DYS) will present its season finale concert, on Sunday, May 15 at 4 p.m. in the Michael A. Guido Theater of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center (The Center). The Season Finale concert will include performances of the Flute Choir, the Concert Strings, and Symphony Orchestras. In addition, the 2011 DYS soloist, Marvin Johnson will be performing Mozart’s Allegro maestoso from Flute Concerto No.1 with the Symphony Orchestra. DEARBORN, Michigan - The Dearborn Youth Symphony (DYS) will present its second concert of the 2010-2011 Season on Sunday, March 6 at 4:00 p.m. in the Michael A. Guido Theater of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center (The Center). The DYS was formed in 1975 to provide young musicians with symphonic ensemble experience and to foster interest in instrumental music. The Dearborn Youth Symphony is holding auditions for the 2010-2011 Concert Season on Thursday, September 9 from 4-9 p.m. at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. Musicians should be prepared to play a piece of their choice.
