Kypros Markou – Director of the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra

The Dearborn Symphony will be performing Friday, October 2, 2009 in the Michael A. Guido Theater in the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center on Michigan Ave.

Kypros Markou, Music Director will be conducting with the Vanguard Grand Chorus performing Haydn’s Symphony No. 88, followed by Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise.

In addition to directing the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra, Kypros Markou is Professor and Director of Orchestral Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit.  Mr. Markou has conducted orchestras in Germany, Italy, England, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Chile, Greece, Cyprus, and other orchestras around the USA where he has been active as a conductor, violinist and music director of several ensembles.
