Dearborn Declares Snow Emergency – Schools Closed

DEARBORN, Michigan – The City of Dearborn has declared a snow emergency effective at 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014.

Snow Emergency.As of 9 p.m. all parked vehicles must be removed from Dearborn streets to allow for safe and efficient snowplowing.  Parked vehicles will be ticketed. Tickets are $80 ($40 if paid within three days.)

Sirens will sound at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 announcing the snow emergency. It remains in effect until further notice.  Call the Snow Plowing Hotline at 313-943-2444 for details.

Due to extreme weather all Dearborn Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 6, 2014.

Trash and recycling collection in Dearborn will be delayed one day due to the severe weather conditions.  Monday trash and recycling will be picked up on Tuesday.  Tuesday trash and recycling will be picked up on Wednesday. This pattern will continue through the week. For more information about trash pickup, call 313-943-2433.
