Mayors to Speak at ‘Tale of Two Cities’ Luncheon Today

January 14, 2014 By News Release

DEARBORN, Michigan – Dearborn Mayor Jack O’Reilly and Dearborn Heights Mayor Dan Paletko will present “A Tale of Two Cities,” at the first Business Builder Event of the new year, Tuesday, January 14, at Dearborn Hills Golf Course, 1300 S. Telegraph Rd in Dearborn. Lunch and networking is also included.

The two mayors will each give a brief opening statement and then participate in a question and answer session.

The first event in the 2014 speaker series will allow both mayors, each of whom have served in public office for many years, to address community representatives and leaders of both small and large businesses.

They will present city success stories from 2013 and offer their vision for continuing progress in 2014.

“We look forward to hearing both mayors discuss how these two cities are compensating for the economy and affecting their business community,” said Chamber President Jackie Lovejoy. “With these civic powerhouses at the helm, we are hopeful about the future!”

The Dearborn Area Chamber offers this speakers series as an opportunity for members to engage with newsmakers and key opinion leaders who a make significant impact on the business community. Previous speakers included Ford Motor Company’s Alan Mulally and U of M Athletic Director David Brandon.  Individual tickets are available for $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
