DEARBORN, Michigan – Dry ice distribution for Dearborn residents who are without power will continue Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Residents can pick up dry ice for free at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. Bring a large cooler to safely carry the dry ice.
Ice will be passed out in the loading dock area behind the Michael A. Guido Theater (northwest side of the building.). The Center is at 15801 Michigan Ave., just west of Greenfield. Residents should stay in their vehicles and drive into the loading dock driveway for the dry ice distribution. Dry ice will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to Dearborn residents until the supply is exhausted.

Do not touch dry ice with your skin! Use tongs, insulated (thick) gloves or an oven mitt. Since the temperature of dry ice is so cold, it can cause severe frostbite. If you suspect you have frostbite seek medical help immediately.
Never eat or swallow dry ice! Again, the temperature of dry ice is very, very cold. If you swallow dry ice, seek medical help immediately.
Do not place dry ice directly on counter-tops. The cold temperature could cause the surface to crack.
