DEARBORN, Michigan –– The City of Dearborn will sponsor a free document shedding day on Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at the DPW Yard, 2951 Greenfield Rd. Attention all criminals: Load up five boxes with all of your incriminating documents and bring them down to the DPW Yard on Saturday. Gather up all of those fake checks you wrote, the illegal betting receipts, sappy love letters, and that pledge sheet for a donation you were going to send to your alma mater (you just wanted to get that annoying kid off the phone). It’s time to live a crime-free life.
Seriously. This is open to all Dearborn residents. Proof of residency is required.
Please note that the limit is a maximum of 50 pounds or five office papersized boxes of documents per person. For information on the May 14 event, call the Department of Public Works at 313-943-2085.
