AT&T U-Verse Adds Public Access Programming

DEARBORN, Michigan – AT&T U-verse has added the City of Dearborn’s government and public access channels to its services. City of Dearborn Television (CDTV) and Dearborn Public Access Television (DPATV) are now available on U-verse channel 99. Customers with AT&T services can click on the drop down box on channel 99 and can choose either of the Dearborn channels. Dearborn Must Pay $103,401 Legal Fees in Free Speech Case

DETROIT, Michigan - On Friday, January 27th,  U.S. Magistrate Judge  R. Steven Whalen recommended that Robert J. Muise, the attorney for Christian Pastor George Saieg, be awarded $103,401 in fees and costs for successfully challenging the City of Dearborn’s restriction on the Christian’s right to freedom of speech at the 2009 Arab Festival held in the City. DEARBORN, Michigan – Dearborn residents should be aware of important information regarding door-to-door solicitations. If an individual comes to your door and asks for a contribution to support a political, religious or charitable cause, the individual must have displayed on his person an ID card issued by the Dearborn Police Department. Darany said Wednesday that while the film incentive plan for 2012 is a good start, Michigan should do more to foster an industry that has proven to create jobs and put thousands of Michigan residents back to work. Dearborn City Plan Commission Seeking New Members

DEARBORN, Michigan – The Dearborn City Plan Commission is seeking applicants from people interested in serving on the voluntary board, which assists in making recommendations to the City Council on zoning, regulations governing the platting of land, preparing the master plan, proposals for opening or vacating streets and alleys, and long range plans for capital improvements and capital expenditures.
