Women’s Expo Benefits Children’s Leukemia Foundation

DEARBORN, Michigan - The 9th Annual Dearborn Women's Expo at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn coming on Sunday, March 4th, 2012 has a special meaning for the Dearborn women who created the event. The Expo raises funds for Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan and is dedicated to the memory of Brittany Crawford who was a student at Dearborn High when she lost her battle with leukemia in December 2002. City Planning Deadlocked – Goodwill A Bad Idea?

DEARBORN, Michigan -  Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit wants to spend $500,000 to renovate a 15,000 square foot building (former Inca computer store) in Dearborn that has been empty for over a decade. The vote Monday night at the Dearborn Planning Commission meeting ended up in a stalemate - with 4 votes for and 4 votes against.  The matter will be taken up again at the March 12 meeting.
